THE BARITONE

William Kow’s first professional appearance was in the role of Papageno in Mozart’s “THE MAGIC FLUTE” in 1999. He studied vocal under the guidance of Mezzo Soprano, Susan Dworkin-Mac Innis in Canada where he participated in Handel’s “MESSIAH” and Britten’s “PAUL BUNYAN”. He was awarded first place in King’s County Music Festival in 1998 and 1999. After his return to Malaysia, William continued his vocal studies with Tenor, Low Kok Yau and Soprano, Cecilia Yap. William has sung with The National Choir and won first place in The Selangor Philharmonic Competition in 2002.

Besides performing in “THE ABOVE FULL MOON” in 2004, William participated in “THE STAR AND CLOUD” and “PRAISE THE TARAKATTA DHARMA” musical in 2005. He also made his guest performances in Miri, Sarawak in 2006 and participated in several Buddhism albums recording, musical “DRUNK BEFORE DAWN” and sing as a backup singer in the album “I’m Not Serene” and Nicholas’s From Now On Live in Malaysia and Singapore 2008.

In 2009, William is involved in “A JOURNEY THROUGH THE AGES III” and The Musical, “ANAK MALAYSIA”. William is currently continues his vocal training under the guidance of Baritone, Cha Seng Tiang, busy with his vocal coaching and performances schedule.
