THE CLASSICAL PIANIST

JESICA CHONG MEI LING, received her Bachelor Music (Piano Performance) from University Putra Malaysia under Madam Larisa Rachmanova. After that she went to Germany’s Hochschule Musik und Theater Hannover to further her piano studies under Prof.Christopher Oakden. Currently she is under tutelage of Mr. Nicholas Ong. Previously she was under Mr. Loo Bang Hean and Mr. Ng Chong Lim.

During her university’s life, she was actively performed not only as soloist but also involved in chamber music. In year 2003, she was chosen as the soloist with Putra Symphony Orchestra, performed Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor at Istana Budaya. In year 2004,she was one of the qualifiers for 2nd stage in 5^th International Chopin Piano Competition Asia in Japan. In the same year, she awarded as Best Accompanist in Song Festival Kuala Lumpur.

Currently Jesica is a fulltime piano tutor as well as served as part-time position in University Malaya. Besides being dedicated teacher, she is now actively as piano accompanist too. She always accompanies the instrumentalist or vocalist for their recitals, master classes and examinations.
